I guess it doesn't even matter whether or not the things Owen believed were true or not, because you can still enjoy it. And a book about a fictional character isn't exactly gonna make me believe either, but I doubt that is the point of it. It's about faith and religion and christianity, but I don't believe in that at all. I'm not entirely sure what I'm supposed to "get out of" this book. I enjoyed it a lot when I was reading it, it was just a very slow read for me (also there were three days last week where I didn't read at all. So going "ugh it took me forever to finish this book and also it was awful" would have been nice, but sadly that was not the case. I finished Stephen King's It in less time than that, for fuck sake. I kinda wish I hated this book given how long it took me to finish it.
